After months of preperation, training, and anticipation, the Hawke's Bay Magpies are finally ready to kick off the 2025 Bunnings National Provincial Championship in front  of a home crwod at McLean Park. 

The season opener marks a fresh chapter for the squad, with a strong mix of returning experience and exciting new talent ready to don the black and white jersey. There’s a buzz of energy around the region, and fans can expect a passionate, physical performance as the Magpies take on Counties Manukau in what promises to be a thrilling start to the campaign.

The matchday 23 has been announced - and it includes two new Magpies set to make their debut: After a dominant season with Moana Pasifika, loose-forward Miracle Fai'ilagi looks to make his debut, along with dynamic playmaker, Zarn Sullivan making his debut for his home team.
